Thank you for electing to attend the HPNS Society's Annual Weekend. This registration is for the Annual Weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) plus the group dinner on Saturday night. By choosing to attend the Annual Weekend, you agree to abide by the Society's Code of Conduct.

HPNS Society Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct helps ensure a positive, respectful, and enriching experience for all members and participants.

1. General Guidelines

a. Name Badges

At HPNS Society sponsored events, always wear your name badge for identification and security purposes.

b. Discord

We highly encourage downloading the free Discord app from your device’s app store. This will help you stay up to date on HPNS Soceity announcement, activities, and allows you to connect with other HPNS Society members.

c. Recording Policy

Personal video or audio recording during HPNS Society events is not permitted.

2. Expected Behavior

a. All attendees at HPNS Society events are expected to:

  1. Treat all participants with respect and consideration.
  2. Be mindful of your language and actions and how they may affect others.
  3. Communicate openly and thoughtfully, and be considerate of the many views and opinions that may differ from your own.
  4. Be respectful when critiquing ideas.
  5. Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
  6. Be mindful of your surroundings and your fellow participants.

b. The following behaviors are considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated, online or at HPNS Society sponsored events:

  1. Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
  2. Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, or other meeting guest.
  3. Disruption of presentations or other events.
  4. Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.
  5. Inappropriate use of nudity or sexual images in public spaces.
  6. Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  7. Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
  8. Encouraging or advocating for any of the above behavior.

3. Reporting Problems

If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately using one of the following methods:

  1. In person: Bring the issue directly to a board member or event organizer.
  2. By Discord: Send a direct message to a board member or event organizer through the Discord server.
  3. By email: Send a written report to support@hpnssociety.org. This email is monitored regularly, especially throughout HPNS Society sponsored events.
